Tropical Storm Yoga and Saturday's Class

Tuesday night was a wonderful night for a yoga class. There was a tropical storm rolling in and the weather was perfect for an evening of asana. We could hear the thunder during class which really made it easy to connect to the energy of the earth and sky. We listened to the thunder, we listened to our breath and moved slowly through the class with awareness focusing on breathing, letting go and enjoying the postures.

There were two new people who had heard about my class from a friend and decided to give it a try. Now we have people who have never practiced yoga before and some who have been regulars for a while now. They all did really well and my gold star for the night was relaxation with Viparita Karani which is Sanskrit for legs up the wall. Everyone really enjoyed the long relaxation with the Lavender aromatherapy massage that always ends my classes.

I feel blessed to be a yoga teacher. I get to help people and watch them get stronger physically, mentally and even spiritually. It's awesome!!

Saturday's class has been changed from 11:00 am to noon at the yoga loft at Etro Salon.
